Animal Facts-What the animal looks likeWhales can grow up to 50 to 40 feet It does not have any teeth. It has a hump in front of it’s dorsal fin.And it has bumps on its back.It looks really smooth,wet and shiny. The whale has big fins. The whale has a blow hole that shoots water out of it. How the animal moves-Whales use their fins and their flippers and how smooth the whale moves though the water very fast.How the animal eats-The humpback whale makes a bubble net when it sees a school of fish, and the whale swims through the bubble net and eats all of the fish. The humpback whale is part of the baleen whale species. They strain their food with huge plates hanging from their jaws by gulping water and keeping only the food.
How the babies change As they grow babies (calves) are about 3 feet long (4 meters)As they grow, they get bristles in their mouths.Animal HabitatWhere the animal lives:Many whales live in all of the oceans around the world, but mainly in the Atlantic and Northern Pacific. Whales live in cold water because cold water has a lot of rich food like krill or plankton for the whales.How the animal adapts to it’s environment:Whales have blubber to keep warm in the cold waters.
Description of the habitat:They migrate such as 10.000 miles.Because when it is summer the humpback whale swims to the colder waters becausethere is more food like plankton and krill and fish. And when it is winter they swim to the warmer waters so they can have babies.How the animal is bornWhen the calf is born the mommy whale willpush the calf to the surface so the calf can take a breath.
